With increasing pressure on water resources,
it’s important that car manufacturers recycle as much water as they can from all processes.
Automotive paint quality has extremely high standards and pure water is the key to reaching
that high quality. Voltea is here at a world-class car manufacturing
facility. This industrial series twelve system is reclaiming
the water from their eco-operation. This enables the car manufacturer to recycle water from
their paint primer line enabling them to reduce their municipal water feed, as well as decrease
the waste water they produce. These rinse baths require a very high water
quality; maintenance of this quality requires a high turn over rate yielding a large volume
of low concentrate wastewater. The use of Voltea’s CapDI technology enables
the reclamation of this low concentrate wastewater with a water recovery of up to 90%.
Because of the high quality maintained in the rinse baths, traditional treatment methods
can become expensive and inefficient to operate. With our traditional Phys/Chem treatment methods,
adding chemicals to the water can actually increase the solids of the effluent. With
Voltea, we found out it’s a clean, green, efficient source compared to our traditional
equipment. The Voltea system offers a good solution as
it can handle a dilute waste stream very efficiently; it delivers a high quality water that can
be sent directly back to the pre-treatment process.
These industrial series systems contain self-monitoring and automated cleaning to minimize the maintenance
and labor involved in their operation, allowing them to further reduce waste and increase
water recovery, giving the car manufacturer the best quality water.
This world class car manufacturer trusts Voltea’s CapDI technology to produce high quality water
for their processes.
