The Starving Artist Tag | Don’t sniff paint 🤢

I’ve decided to do the starving artist tag, All of the questions are in my email on my MacBook. Even though artists the term starving
artist because, I mean, Look! Look at me does it look like I’m missing any meals? I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and have snack as I want. Ok?! Not starving over here. I believe that the term starving artist comes from back in the days when people believed that being an artist was not true career
therefore it would be nearly impossible for artists to support themselves for
basic things such as I like to tell people that highs myself and a visual
artist because I do different things like a graphic design fashion design I
think I that all come together as a visual
artist what’s your favorite experience as an artist
my favorite experience is when I go to events that I hold such as my art shows
and I listen to my customers interpretation of my artwork and how
they relate to it listen to their personal experiences or things that they
have witnessed in their lives definitely touches it’s so beautiful
what’s your least favorite experiences and artists my least favorite experience
is when I get clients that are not professional and not serious
what are your goals for your art I want to keep on making art youtube videos and
doing more art shows what’s your favorite medium in wine
I definitely me right oil paint because of the
thickness and the shine what is fire you to do art
what inspired me to do her today could be different things it can be something
that I see in nature it could be a wonderful idea that my children come up
with it could be a dream that I had and I just want to bring it to life why do
you love it I love art because it’s just a talent that I have within me and I
have these ideas and I want other people to see what I can envision in brain
sales so I just put it on canvas paper would
last whatever I put on stammering I just love creating what’s your favorite piece
you ever mean and why I honestly don’t have a favorite piece I love everything
that I’ve created but I didn’t want to show you one particular piece that I
have created as an oil painting and it’s my top-selling piece I made prints this
team also has been little pouches and bags t-shirts people purchase it and
thank you so much to everyone that has ever Persian one I’m getting I’ll be
right back it’s this I like that me so much not because it’s
my top selling but because of the stories that I hear from people after
they purchase it and a reason why they purchase it someone told me that they
purchased it to give to a woman that was having
two issues another one purchase it because she said that it will be a
wonderful gift to give to someone that had a baby shower and when I was
creating the piece I wasn’t even thinking like that it’s so touching to
hear those different reasons of why it related to my customers and why they
purchased it when I was painting it I just believe that it will be beautiful
to paint something that would have those colors in it and also include the female
reproductive system yeah / what are your biggest art influences my biggest art
influences are my dreams nature and my children what did you
learn from being a full-time artist I’m a full-time artist right now and I
learned that I must create every day basically
what do your family and friends think about you being an artist my family and
friends think that me being an artist is I would say they think it’s cool because
I’m so creative and they call me when they need our
assistance so they call me if they need someone to design tickets a menu or if
they want to paint they come over my home into my art studio and I could give
them different advice was the comment in our
dish of childhood dream yes I’ve been saying that I wanted to be an artist
since I could talk what advice can you give to people who
want to be more artistic or creative so that’s why my because they love my artistic advice and
like the fact that I’m creative so the advice that I give to people that want
to be more artistic and creative I would say practice by yourself in art journal
a sketchbook do
very rough sketches I say that because I don’t want you to
feel like this has to be perfect it’s practice all right
we’re here supported to pursue art as a child yes both of our parents approved
of me bein and young artists when I was a child
I actually started making money as a child I would sell my heart burger at
the Convention Center and nonprofit organizations I would
we’ll set different events I would have some pieces that were already framed and
prince I know my parents were proud of me to
see me selling my artwork and being able to afford different things on
my own so the fact that I was able to purchase my own vehicle or own I mean it
can’t hurt you know my parents didn’t have to buy it for me I bought it myself
I actually paid my own assurance or in the car – okay do you make money off
your art yes what do you want to improve on / aspire to be with your favorite art
I want to improve on fees I don’t really draw meat or paint feet
and I believe is because people that I draw dairy where she was last
maybe I can just do some bare feet people what feelings do you try to
express in your heart I definitely Express empowerment what is
your favorite thing to paint and why I actually love doing abstract oil
paintings because it’s fun what’s the strangest
thing you’ve ever painted the strangest thing I’ve ever painted may actually be
this piece over here I’ll be right there this is another oil painting it’s a
painting of a blue beasts this is the first time I ever painted
something like this I love that painting of course I do mm-hmm
but I would say that that maybe my strangest piece because when people come
into my art studio they look at my artwork and they don’t comment on that
simple it might be strange to other people but to me it’s no it’s just
another piece of art on my wall that I created it in that believes beautiful
have you ever been hung up after you started a commission and how did you
handle it I have had a couple of clients that wanted to cancel but this is what I
do I make sure they pay a non-refundable deposit because I’m doing all of that
work and then you suddenly want to cancel some non-refundable deposits okay
of the artists you hear me out there so you can make sure you get some type of
paint do you admit that paint smells good No Wow why would someone ask that question
maybe the person that created this tag loves the smell of paint listen don’t go
sniffing paint I’m pretty sure that that is not the
right thing to do what would you tell your younger self I would tell my
younger self to keep on practicing basically create something every day
what do you aspire to be with your future art I just want to keep one
making artwork that empowers people I want to be in the history books as a
feminist artists like if you already believe that I make feminist art and you
label me as such type of artist then thank you I just need more people to get
to know my artwork that’s one reason why I’m on YouTube thank you for watching
