SPECIAL STARRY TIGER FACE PAINTING TUTORIAL

welcome back to the channel if you’re
new here hit that subscribe button and the little bell for more face painting tutorials,
tips and tricks! I can’t believe it’s been a year and a half since the
last time I uploaded a video, if you’ve stuck with me all that time thank you so
much. If you’d like an update video to know where I’ve been all this time
let me know in the comments below and I’ll be more than happy to do that for
you today I’m showing you one of my most
popular designs a starry tiger and I’m starting with some fusion paraffin white
to do the muzzle and a sort of butterfly shape around the eye and I’m just
filling all that in and this shape really helps me to decide where I’m putting my
tiger stripes later on in the video as you’ll see next I’m using a homemade split cake in
traditional Tiger colors you can use any kind of rainbow cake that you like I
like serendipity by Face Paints Australia for this design it’s really
really popular. I’m just sponging it all around the edges I don’t go below
the muzzle area and I’m patting the sponge rather than dragging it to make
sure I get a nice, soft, even blend. I also like to flip the sponge and make sure
that the darkest edge is at the bottom of the nose and of course pop on your
glitter while the paint is still wet Next, a great tip for a feline nose for
making that look all nice and neat is to use a filbert brush and just give it a
couple of swipes on either side of the nostril and line up in the middle and
for a really neat looking muzzle when you do it in this style of the teardrops, make sure that the negative space in between each teardrop is rounded I’m
using a number two round brush for this as always use your preferred line work
colors I’m going to list the ones that I use in the description below like I
always do and of course don’t forget your split
lip you want to start on the very point of your brush to get a nice thin line
and then trail off into a triangle on the top of the lip. Next we can use that
white base that was set down to you know map out where we’re going to put our
tiger stripes. I’m just doing a range of thick to thin lines starting with big
ones and then mixed some small ones in and adding double ones in I wouldn’t usually
paint eyeliner like this on younger kids I usually just reserve it for the
adults and older teens. For younger kids I would tend to do a more exaggerated
cat eye around the eyebrow I’ll probably do that in another you know feline sort
of video tutorial so you’ll be able to see that, otherwise you can check out my
facebook and Instagram pages just look for the Geordie Face Painter. Now remember when
using stencils use quite a dry sponge you can check out my video on how to use
stencils properly as well I love this one by Ooh stencils I use it a lot of
designs and it always has that sort of wow effect when people see it. I am
painting the lips with gold face paint you could just let this bit go if you
like I’m adding a bit of glitter honestly at a party I probably
wouldn’t bother but add a big event if I’m doing pay-per-face I would
bother with all this glitter and jazz and you can even charge a little bit
more for that as well I really hope you’ve enjoyed this video if you have
give me a thumbs up and leave a comment below just say hi let me know what you
enjoyed if there’s anything else you’d like to see and I’m more than happy to
get back to you on that and we’ll see you again next time
