Real Graffiti Artist Paints Rick and Morty | Kingsrpray VR

is it so tight I’m seriously having so much fun [Music] what’s up guys I’m Ivan Preciado I’m a professional graffiti artist and my job is to just create visual exciting art for people to enjoy so last time I was here I learned that the VR system is great for mapping out real life murals so this time I want to do something a little bit more character based I’ve been really digging this show called Rick and Morty and I want to do my own twist on the characters the portal gun along with some graffiti elements some space rips and just have some fun so right now I’m just gonna pick my color I’ll try and get the skin colour of Rick I think he’s kind of more like a hand killer but I’m just going off memories do I need to pull off her hair I’m a standard too when you’re my pink duh I’m gonna go with my all-time favorite the New York fat cow it’ll give you like a wider spray the pink dot is even more fatter that then cap will be real thin so I’ll use these for like little details and a standard cap on your color there is like just like a good cap to begin with for like starters so I’ll actually start with this so what I’m doing right here is filling in obviously we want to cover a lot of the wall so that our art is like really prominent and it stands out a lot so now that we got my interpretation of how I’m gonna paint Rick Rick I believe has like blue hair his hair is like spiky so do some spikes as you see like right now I’m getting real close to the wall see I like those Stan lines and you know what I think I’m gonna use this scaffold so let’s bring this over there also this is so tight [Music] because I don’t remember exactly how he looks I’m gonna stylize him a bit so that I can make him unique give him my own little twist my little flavor and have some fun with it this is so fun oh my god I love him [Music] so now I’m going to a little bit darker and let’s give him a nice little horse shadow to his hair it really gives it that three dimensionality [Music] Rick has this unibrow so now what I’m doing is flaring and that’s basically I could set the the can at a distance and as I move forward I could go in a fast-paced movement and bring it closer to the wall and that’ll make it go from thick to thin real fast [Music] I’m gonna give them sort of a distorted warping through the time portal sort of look on his face [Music] so what I’m doing now is cutting back you can see the white kind of gets into the black area right here so what I’m going to do is take the black and cut it back just like that to get a nice clean line [Music] now what I’m actually gonna do is give him a tongue and just have like a long sort of war P tongue coming out of his mouth and she’s warping through the portal what I’m gonna do now is actually add a nice little core shadow to the tongue as well gave the tongue some debt to clean up these drips right here I’m gonna get the black and again just using our are cutting back technique I’ll cut back on these trips so for me I have a specific Gretchen I like to go with my color scheme like the colors to really complement each other in a way where they bring out the best in each other [Music] with characters I take a different approach we’re yet to look at proportions right like in graffiti your letters could be all sorts of different proportions but with faces you know there’s a certain aesthetic that looks correct I think my favorite part of doing graffiti and just paints the art in general it’s probably the outline because the outline is what really brings it to life hi I’m Susan having so much fun and what’s really cool about this VR system it’s really accurate like I could get exactly what I want [Music] [Music] and how we’re gonna do more tea so I believe Morty kinda has like a tan color as well and I’m gonna give Morty a weird shape as well [Music] get those core shadows in right there really marking how the tongue is turning because of the perks of virtual reality you know having like unlimited paint perfect can control it’s not hot in here you know you don’t got to deal with buses and cars I could see myself painting this game for hours when I remember mortgage payers kind of like a cloud I’m gonna give him kinda like a 70s afro [Music] marty is always like being dragged along on Rick’s adventures so I’m gonna give him sort of like a worried kind of look on his face but I also want to make his eye at least one I sort of like bleeding out can’t really remember if he does have eyebrows or not I think they’re just like little lines so let’s give him some eyebrows at least my version [Music] so I think it’s looking pretty good from what I can remember they’re resembling the characters so now I’m gonna move on to the background now I’m gonna use some greens and we’re gonna get into the portal so what I love about the Rick and Morty drawing stuff is one it’s super colorful and I love that the characters are actually pretty simple to draw and what’s fun about that is for me it makes it really easy to stylize them and customize them to my liking and that’ll be the portal right to be challenged in one hour to freestyle your own version of very iconic you know characters it’s such like it’s a lot of pressure so for this to be coming out the way it is like I’m I’m super happy [Music] no it’s really honestly it’s not that big of a problem especially with the cutback method they’re pretty easy to fix and they’re just a pain because it’s like oh one one last thing you got to go back and do but with VR like I could do these all day and not sweat it because it’s not hot [Music] what’s cool about this is like I get to create my vision like I thought the VR system were like hinder my ability to keep my vision but now I get to paint exactly what I want how I want to get the lines where I want [Music] so now I’m just doing some quick little space trips Rick and Morty always traveling through space and don’ts like different dimension so we’ll do some space ribs and then OB all wrapped up [Music] [Music] there it is yeah I think it came out great I think for the challenge limited time brand-new concept walking up to a fresh new wall so I think it came out great I had so much fun with it the VR experience is real as heck I can’t wait to do this again I’m so juiced to go paint in real life now
