Hi welcome my name is Lars Erik Robinson with
LarsEr Arts All Around Art-Tainment. I’m an illustrator slash fine artist. Today we are
going to talk about how to do abstract painting. This is a very thing, you know a personal
thing to explain how to do abstract because it’s basically just whatever you feel you
like want to be able to paint it’s more of a feeling type of thing, more of a look that
you want to have in your house. You have to think about the colors that you have. So if
you have mostly, for example you could just do a triangle like that and if you want to
repeat that triangle again you could do another one right here. And to offset that you could
do a circle here and maybe repeat it. You could do another circle up here, it’s all
about repeating I believe in abstract. Doesn’t necessarily have to be anything. Anything
that it’s kind of evolved from pop art, abstract pop art similar thing. So a friend of mine
actually me and him we are doing a painting at his parent’s house and he had a contact
paper and he actually took contact paper and he colored it in. We actually laid blue contact
paper right on right here so it’s really sharp against the background. And I thought that
was very smart because it gave it a sharp edge. And the same time it was just really
neat, you can actually lay your contact paper all around the different areas of your painting.
So I’m, you don’t really have to worry too much about what you are doing, it’s like I
said in the beginning, it’s very personal thing when you do an abstract paintings. You
can actually just go, try to create texture. And it’s a quick example of abstract painting
if you can imagine that on a canvas kind of scale. Abstract is very much a personal thing.
And it’s about creating a mood and creating what colors you have in your house. So thank
you for joining me and I hope that explains a little bit to you about abstract painting.
