Painting on Glass | Michaels

Wouldn’t it be fun to make some great beautiful
painted glassware like you see in the gift store? Well you know what it’s as easy as 1 2 3 and I’m going to show
you just a quick easy tip. One of the first things you
want to do is you want to make sure that you have your
glass thoroughly clean. And what you are going to use is you
are either going to use plain alcohol or you’re going to use a surface conditioner. And what you want to do is you want to
make sure your whole entire surface where you are going tot paint has been
cleaned with the alcohol or the conditioner. What this does is that it removes all
of the like you know fingerprints fingerprints or some of the oily residue that
might be on the glass so it will absorb the paint. . So we’re going to get started. Now I’m not a real fine detail painter
so what I’m going to do is is I’m just going to put a little bit of my paint
and I’m just going to take a paint brush and make my design. Now another thing you need to remember
this is not suppose to come in direct contact then with food. . So you never want to paint
around the rim of your glass. If you’re going to paint on a plate you
would need to put a doily or something on top top of that because it is not food safe. Ok you know what you are going to
have a great gift that anyone would love to get Again remember before you finish this
project I want you to make sure you ve read thru all the instructions to
see how long you need to make it and how long it is before it’s
totally safe to use use and go out there
and have some great fun. And you know what I think you
should send me some pictures.
