Painting Abaddon, Version 2

Painting Abaddon, Version 2

Welcome again guys
this is part 2 of the Abaddon painting videos this one’s gonna remain the using
contrast and with a little bit of airbrushing start with of course we’ve
got the figure imparts if you’re not seen part 1 go back be able to see do
what be the bits were and this I’m actually just put in black temple black
over a mechanicus standard gray on the court now the reason I’m using the kind
of a standard gray is simple because it’s all it’s gonna be a lot darker so
it’s gonna have to create a lot darker tone for us I’m basing the cloth now on the actual
figure in : red and what you’ll probably see on a moment is the very careful not
to make sure it you’re gonna get it onto the black yeah I’ve got blue tuck on the
underneath of the feet so it’s easier to glue board is plastic will it easy to
lose it back onto the base and also painting the hair as well this is gonna
be painted in the corn red and all the red portions should be highlighted the
same : read again through an airbrush this is
just on the actual cloth itself now with the clock the clock is spread black so
the even boys gonna be cornbread in the same procedure you actually going to get
a darker color on the model itself and leaving some of the recesses darker if
you see yeah the little blue tack to tell I didn’t need to make sure button
fingers behind it didn’t fly off evil son scarlet is next this is just gonna
be done through the air books just to try and get I always find with cloth
it’s a lot better to do the transition we an airbrush it just looks smaller it
looks cleaner it’s much more of a preference to myself now we’re going back over the armor with
another quart of black Templar but the reason for this is because it wasn’t
dark enough for me I’m wanting it to be really really back this was a little bit
of a highlight see be able to figure better in the background so I went over
it again just allowing effectively me to Onaga read aloud that enough time to be
able to drive properly screaming Bell is going to be on the trim next so anything
I’m wanting the trim of the metallic pieces they’re just painted up with
screaming about quite an easy cord to you as you’re just going to have to
highlight it work I did prep the bat wrong I didn’t why us
mainly for the skulls so I went all the Makai went over the areas that I wanted
in the black as it were in mechanic’s a standard gray and then painted the
skulls wave not doing them about grecia this so I can the contrast paint because
that’s what you’re supposed to use with contrast just to try and make it easier
to use like going on now this the same process as we’ve done on the actual
armor just to make sure that that it’s going to match once it’s glued together onto the base now the base itself has
already been using Abaddon blockers to block out the thick of an amount of
paint now the base has already been sprayed waved to brown two different
cheap airbrush spray paint Browns to be able to give it back fact I’m now gonna
hit tool and Sun and basically just used and I wasn’t black it was Scotch Brown
at so I beast you’re brown on the armor pieces of the marine underneath and then
I’m doing his head and they shoulder pads in Carrick storm the van got corn
red going back over the beastial Brown that be steel Brown yeah that one right
oxide just to be able to everyone following this is gonna get us wrong
that’s gonna move the base for my actual red
I’m not airbrushing this I’m just doing it normally and then the feast and red
with a wet palette it’s gonna go over the top I’m trying to create next to him
I’m gonna be using tyrant skull I’m trying to create a Bloodraven now cuz
one of all it this was a commission one of all his opponents is a course above
the webinar me mixing the you’ve shabby born doing a second layer around hitting
it with a bit of white just as a highlight I’ve Adam black is just going to be used
for the trimmer not using the contrast I’m wanting this to be proper black and
dark and then across does hit dark Reaper in the corners using a wet pipe now I’ve covered this off with powerful
I’m just painting silver on the torch and then I’m going to go over that wave
B it will lift charge of gray I think that’s what creates a nice looking
metallic that’s a personal opinion of course this is the boy it’s a start
painting the flames I’ve been of course of the painted
little eagle on that torch with Nas Greg yellow I’m actually like a really
nice-looking gold we’re gonna hit this with an airbrush we’re gonna be going in
with you real yellow first and just basically a bush in the area where it’s
going to be the most hot and then we’re going to use the other colors just
coming away from it using troll Slayer orange next i always
overlap so I always paint majority of it in the one color and Van Noah whammy
transitions going to be and I’m not missing something
it also create a nice little under highlights as well or appreciate above
pre eyeliner supports for the actual colors that you using and then last but
not least I used the feast of bread that’s a slightly darker red than the
evil sons nicely so talking on this bit because
actually driver star even boss underneath masking are painted this with
you know in traditional what I’m going to behave
the color shifts pain which we I’m just trying to give our nice
affectionate maybe it’s all fine so change a place for colors we actually
use the color shift paint that one’s actually burning gold is from the table
green stuff world which is a Spanish company but it’s quite easy to get older and then I’m gonna be hitting it with
emerald gateway just to try and create a random pattern with some melancholy I’ve
got a shared now this is gonna be painted all over the actual base itself
as I they’re calling for me it was a little too bright but I’m not bothered
if I go over anything because you should be able to merge stuff and make it merge
into the actual rest of the base itself now I painted all the bones with you
shabda bone all the skulls and then all the shell casings with russ
at this point had already dried brush the whole entire base with tyrants skull
was probably just something I forgot to the cogs which I apologize for but the
whole of a base have just been drivers retirement school before this procedure
we’re now and just hitting it I’m hitting the brass casings wave the Alex
earthshake gloss fantastic for metallic colors back to the Grecia now I’m just going to
be painting over clock now this is actually quite a good-looking quote when
you when you do it alright this is going to be using some of our Browns
I’m just painting up the cloth just prepping the area ready for the contrast
painter also while you’ve got fan-out it’s time
to do is face this mention you’ve got a smaller brush and just paint all of the
face and plus a course of the full bit that goes up to the hair that’s been
painted in Greece here as well now the Marine helmet are painted with a
metallic silver which I’m solely using an old-school bolt on metal in the
fountain one it just needs you know so I’m just trying to get rid of it as
Westerkamp you can you can use lab Belcher and other colors as well to
achieve the same effect and then I’m gonna hit wash wash and this is done on
some of the silver parts that are already painted such as is gone
this creates a very weird looking sort of brass or bronze if you’ve not got
flash wash to try and find a very deep brown ink wash and it tends to do the
same thing just painting the schools up with tyrant skull and that includes the
ones on his trophy rack at the top this is where I get the brown the Browns
Wildwood setup contrast paint I’ll just paint in all of the clock just we’re
trying to leave the flesh bit that’s like the overlapping skin piece of
itself I’m just going to leave that along for that friendly thing to
somebody now the bone I’m gonna be painting with Seraphin sepia I’m just
gonna go all over that not really taking much care just splashing it’s on cuz
cross that does create a nice open born effect I don’t know I’m not really using
the new-born for contrast Authority able to say now apologies for not being a
camera shot on this one I’m just painting the space between helmet with
your painted silver I’m just painting that with hot flash to try and make it
look a bit like a salamander something now next I’m using the lip just pink
this is gonna be just on the little thing that goes up to the helmets I’m
also gonna be painting his flesh with one of the flesh colors bicycles I am
actually using in the duck off flesh and then I’m just painting the gun that
I painted silver I’m just painting that with fucking black claw has just washed
with some classic normal with angel red on the top knot and one
of the gems evil song scarlet this is just going to be on the flash at the
back so I’m just painting that up it’s gonna be nice and bright and that’s are
going to be using on a contrast paints there’s more of a way of darkening the
procedure now I’m dry brushing some white now heavily driver sort of going
up the sword this is mainly gonna repair effect later
at this point I’ve also got the bloody needle red onto the skin at the back of
the clock and then this is just the blue the blue I’m actually using is the Telos
ah blue it’s quite a nice bright blue but because of a wave was done the
highlighting it should now create it normally and then I just finished up a
little bit of a back off with some caliber crimson and then that’s it I
know I’m waffling I’m not used to be able to record in this in this
particular format but it’s actually easier for me to get a video out this
way this is a kind of a quick and simple you
just using me and the contrast paints we have some old-school classic techniques
if you can see the claw even boy it’s a bit darker we still use the same colors
but because we’ve used a different base coat actually I was giving it a
different for you in a different walk well thank you very much for watching
guys I hope you enjoyed that one that’s this is the second video as well so at
our wanting to watch the first video which was more of a specialist technique
using inks and air brushes and they’d still use a bit of contrast because I am
using contrast in a lot of my painting now simply because certain things you
can get done quicker fur looks a lot better for me if my personal opinion
when done with contrasting funks very much for watching guys please like share
