Painted Rock Idea Sloth Beginner Tutorial

good evening I’m gonna be going through
how to do this very simple sloth rock I found it on Pinterest so I tried it I had to
use a different color because I didn’t have a tan and I used the posca pens so
here is what we want and I made the eyes two different ways you can do it any way
you want first things first the easiest way to do
this is just start out with a white rock and then you don’t have to
worry about doing the the background and then it’s way quicker these ones took
like two or three coats of the posca pen this one was three I think this one was
2 which I’m gonna show you how to do it just quickly on this one
if you don’t have a or you don’t need a white background if it already has that
I need to get a lamp in here my hands giving a shadow hope it’s okay for you
guys eyes too cute nose and then a squiggly
mouth you could do any mouth you want okay so once that dries you’re gonna
come back to it and we’re gonna do white on the eyes oh and this one has white in
the background of it I didn’t even remember that so we’re going to do that
so how we do the brown which is really easy is just a circle around the outside
and then I’m gonna do I think it’s called a widow’s peak I believe I’m not
sure sorry my son’s running around like a maniac right now if you can hear him
and I’m using the biggest posca pen I have I’ve seen them bigger but this is
just the biggest one I have it is a 5 m and it’s so chilly out today I am very
happy I’m very happy I think my other son fell or he just Falls walking
like this kid he can’t get his self together and he looks at us like I’m
okay like I certainly hope so you’re just fell walking that’s
talented so right now it sounds like he’s a-milking being hurt but he’s
really not hurt to his brother like oh he’s four and my older one is 12 and he
is such a I don’t know what pill maybe he just did so picks on him and and he’s
in this where he knows everything I’m like I don’t know I should maybe ask you
for advice me you need to help me out kiddo so you just do a circle around the
outside and then once you get that you do the widow’s peak so just a triangle then we’re gonna do a rectangle
basically but then rounded there we go and I’m dabbing this pin on it because
when I brush it the whites wanting to show through or come off okay next is
let’s put the white on this background or on this eyes so just a circle circle that’s gonna need to dry to do anything
this one needs the white on the outside so my option here is to do just a full
dot over this size or to find a thinner white pen there we go
so I found a thinner white pen so I’m just gonna go around the outside now you
can okay okay wonderful that’s the TV remote so it should work you need to
keep the volume down because I’m doing a video the remotes been missing actually the
batteries were taken out of it first it was missing and then when we found it
the batteries were gone – I’m like who does that a little boy with an Xbox I
imagine I didn’t do the eyes very far over the brown so I think I could do
that further over and I am going to actually I like it to be closer towards
the center these rocks are just a little bigger than and I’m gonna go back over
that white just to be easy okay one over there fix this one up Gonna leave that with a little bigger
spot so I’m gonna do just a little line and then I’m gonna I need up and then
I’m gonna fix the eye there we go that’s done these two are
sealed so I’m gonna do the noses and I’m gonna (draw in the nose) doing the nose on this one too still
waiting for the brown to finish drying on this one don’t know what it is either
it’s not my computer (talking to son)okay and then the mouth I’m gonna make squiggly and this one’s gonna be smiling Dexter don’t do the thing very much
you’re gonna break Daddy’s that is a W this is next the small one for the nose eyes are drying I always recommend going
over the posca with a second oh I’m just on all of the colors purple doesn’t
usually need it this isn’t centered very well and now it’s eyes on this one this little test stone here when it gets
clogged up I’m just trying to do it well it’s still a little wet I’d recommend
letting dry a little just circle in the center of the eyeball so last is just the accent dot that is that and I recommend going everything over
all the colors twice and then tracing the black and you don’t have to
necessarily do the eyes this way you can do them anyway I like giving them
cartoon eyes sometimes I hope you guys have a good night and you can make some
beautiful rocks
