SOME PEOPLE THINK OF PAINT BALL GUNS AS TOYS BUT THEY CAN CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE, A TORRANCE FATHER FOUND OUT, AGAINST HIS WILL, ANDREA FUJII IS LIVE IN WESTWOOD, HE FACES SURGERY AFTER THE ATTACK. REPORTER: RICK THAT MAN WAS HIT WITH 5 PAINTBALLS, TWO IN HIS RIGHT EYE, NOW HE CAN’T SEE, HE IS COMING HERE TO UCLA TOMORROW FOR SURGERY IN HOPES OF GETTING HIS EYESIGHT BACK. 65-YEAR-OLD MICHAEL FEGES IS NOW BLIND IN HIS RIGHT EYE, HIS SON SAID HIS DAD WENT OUT FOR A WALK IN HIS TORRANCE NEIGHBORHOOD SUNDAY NIGHT, NEAR HICKORY PARK, SOMEONE STARTED YELLING AT HIM. HE TURNED AND SAW APPROXIMATELY 2 TO 3 YOUNG MEN IN THE CAR, AND HE WAS HIT IN THE EYE WITH ONE OF PAINT BALL PELLETS. REPORTER: HIS DAD WAS HIT 5 TIME, TWICE IN THE EYE, 3 TIMES IN BACK AS HE TURNED TO FALL DOWN. HE SAID IT WAS MOST EXCRUCIATING M PAIN HE FELT. THEY CAN’T BELIEVE SOMEONE WOULD DO THIS ON PURPOSE. I AM ANGRY AND FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW, I HOPE YOUR PARENTS CAN GO FOR WALKS BY THEMSELVES AT NIGHT IN THEIR COMMUNITY WITHOUT HARM.
