Queenslanders all across the state are
coming together for Queensland day a whiz-bang celebration of a history
culture and lifestyle. On 6th of June 1859 Queen Victoria signed the letters
patant to establish the new colony of Queensland. To announce the separation
from New South Wales the ship Clarence sailed into Brisbane to a
14-gun salute, fireworks and a jubilant crowd, and we’ve been celebrating ever
since. So whether you’re at work, school, the beach or the bush there are lots of
ways for you to get involved and paint town maroon. Check out our website, Facebook page or follow us on Instagram to find out more. Happy birthday Queensland!
