Monster Art Challenge – How to paint a monster with watercolors and Micron Pens (WITH COMMENTARY)

In a world gone mad… One man’s boundless mind churns like a boiling cauldron of ideas trapped in a whirlpool of creativity …skirting the edges of epiphany! This summer feel the frustration as Billy still messes up his paintings over and over again. (EXHALE) Hello, everybody. I’m back Once again talking to a microphone watching my stupid or watching my painting whatever. I really don’t know what to say on these things But I’m gonna say it anyway So I figured I’d try something different. I get kind of bored with Watching also as much as I like to watch speed painting or the process of people working on things sometimes it gets a little boring We get into this process of just filming your work What would a stationary… Lost stationary with the tripod standing above you all the time kind of gets stale for me It started getting stale for me in fact It’s kind of hard to watch my videos that way So I’m assuming it might be hard for other people to watch the videos that way as well So I thought I’d mix it up or change it up a bit you know show the process from different Angles maybe um Yeah, just kind of film it. I got the new camera So I figured I’d do some cool effects with the fate of the focus in focus all because it does it anyway Because I’m still learning it about that new fujifilm camera But here, I just put it in my lap just to get a different view Probably not the wisest thing to do but I thought it’d make it more interesting to watch instead of watching A camera that’s not moving and Of course you miss a lot of the process when you do it this way But still it’s a little more interesting than just having the camera just sitting there above everywhere above everything So I thought I’d make another monster this way It does get kind of distracting when you move the camera around someone’s just to try to make it interesting you start to lose Focus on what you’re doing as far as painting as far as the work you’re doing You start to battle with with do I want to do a great painting? Do I want to do a good video if I want the painting to be interesting? But the video has to be looks has to be okay for different angles it’s just Almost counterproductive because you’re worried About everything that you shouldn’t be worrying about you should be worried about Creating something interesting looking, but you spend a lot of time getting distracted on the technical side of things which is not the best thing for a Creative mind to do yeah creativity can happen with technical things as well, but when you’re focused, and you’re sitting in Working on a painting for the sake of creating something new in your technique in your style It’s difficult when you get distracted by worrying about Does it look okay? Is it the right angle is it pick it up is it a little bit Worrying about if it’s focused or not worrying about so many things that completely take you away from What you’re supposed to be really worried about and that’s letting it blow and sounds like a give you hippyish thing but You’re doing two things at once and you’re almost using both sides of your brain at the same time while you’re doing it and it could be frustrating so eventually at some point you have to step back as I always say you have to know that the stop step back relax and Go through something else, and you can look at your painting With a different set of eyes as if you’re looking at somebody else’s painting when you come back so you just want to do a little bit at a time, so you don’t get frustrated, so after I was done Getting my hair dryer Drying it faster. Coz of my patient the time to go for a break to the bar. Oh yeah Cappuccino That good so it’s very helpful. It’s very my frigging leg And it’s very helpful to step away from it for a while even if you step away for it for 20 minutes to an hour in fact sometimes I pull out drawings or paintings From sometimes ten years ago, and I look at them. I’m thinking What was I thinking because you develop you see things differently after so many years you It is it’s like you’re looking at it from as a different. You look as if somebody else painted it which is Great cuz it’s always easy. It’s easier to be a critic of somebody else’s work And you always know what what’s best for somebody else you never know how to take care of yourself? But you always know it’s best for somebody else so with that in mind when you pull out an old painting You’re looking at it as if Somebody else did it and you know how to critique it or fix it and you kind of fall in love with it again I really fall in love but kind of you Kind of discover an interest you become reinterred in what you were doing before I don’t know if this happens with anybody else, but as a creative mind it happens for me this way So in some cases. I have to hurry up and pay and get it done Before I start losing interest in what I’m doing because apparently I’ve been told I have a touch of the Adhd So whenever I do have these spells of focus. I try to do as much as I can and The worst thing you can encounter with a creative flow is technical difficulties it’s something else like with the computer or it wasn’t recording or you weren’t filming the process or you weren’t doing this correctly and you get so distracted with doing all this crap sometimes you just need to just Step back film it see what happens and mostly doing these videos is so I can Watch my progress as an artist But I think it’s been very helpful doing these videos to Sit back and see what I’ve been doing how I’ve been doing If I can still do what I’d like to do because in your mind, you’re a superstar But when you go to do it, it doesn’t come out, right? Some things I do need to work on I think are the flow of my paint like A motion Issues I have with my work as I never I can’t get my characters to be come Fluent in other words. It looks like some people can draw and They can make it look like it’s moving when it’s not really moving This is a Talent I Lean Towards More towards the Getting the feeling down hitting the color down And getting that interesting experience down as fast as I can before I lose my my interest in it So anyway, this is the wrap of the wrap up of the image here and this guy ended up This is totally off the cuff of maybe that’s totally Ended up with a mustache, but yeah, you need to know when to stop here it is if you enjoyed any of this yeah, give it a like thumbs up share even check out my My shop the link should be there, or should be down below After I make these actually like to post them to be sold as prints check it out
