Medieval Fort Paintball – Citadel Part 1 – Kill Confirmed

AlabasterSlim: In early May, I traveled 6,000 kilometers to one of the most unique Battlefields in the world. The event was organized by Shoreline Paintball, and took place in a 16th century fortress in Givet, France. They called it Citadel. Part One This game was similar to Kill Confirmed from Call of Duty. Break? Yo, break? However unlike Call of Duty, we can’t just have magical dog tags floating on the ground where we died, so instead we were to wait for 50 seconds. If someone from the other team got to you, they could collect your dog tag for points. If time ran out you’d respawn without losing your tags, and if a team medic got to you in those 50 seconds then you’re back in the game. The enemy team has already taken positions inside this large three-story building. It’s a great defensive spot, but I’ve gotten around to the side of it and should be able to sneak inside. Some old passageways have been walled off, and what would seem like easy ways to get around actually involve some climbing. I took a shot from my team side of the field. This is why I always put my team’s colors on my wrist. It makes it really easy to wave them off, and identify myself as a friendly. I could hear them shouting across the street that I was blue. That broke. You’re out? Other Player: Yeah. AlabasterSlim: My first dog tags. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen. Other Player: Oh damn. I am bleeding and all sorts of shit. AlabasterSlim: Let’s do it. It looks like we’re being flanked from behind so I’m gonna head that way. Other Player: Watch yourself around that corner mate. Whoa whoa, there around that corner. Alabaster Slim: Got it, okay. I’m tempted to just run up and grab this guy’s tags, but what if he has a buddy around corner? I think Hit. Stupid corner buddies. Come on guys, there’s only one guy over there. Other Player: You’re hit. AlabasterSlim: Where? Oh, magazine. You’re right, magazine. Okay, you guys ready? Let’s go, okay come one. It looks like this area has finally been cleared time to move on oh, did you guys get any dog tags? There’s a whole bunch piled up. They’re moving along. There uh, well they’re out of range so yeah. Totally do it. Unless they got first strikes we don’t have to worry. We got the wind with us, so it’ll slow them down enough that they’ll probably bounce to. AlabasterSlim:Huh Referee: Those were First Strike. AlabasterSlim: Did you here it whistle? Refree: Yeah. Two over in the left. Out of air. All right, I guess I’ll come back. Get some air come back I’d like to thank Milsig Direct, EU, and Magfed Pb UK for hosting me at this event and helping you out with loaner equipment like markers and air tanks. Be sure to check out the frequently asked questions to see what kind of gear I use, how I’m at my GoPro, where we’ll be playing next, why does CQB close down, things like that. Check out VICE on Facebook, check out me on Twitter, and every now and then there’s some gaming videos that VICE does you can check those out as well. Alright guys, peace. See ya your girlfriend. Well, maybe that’s kind of a Catch-22 because like video games and girlfriends, whoa.
