[Medibang Paint Pro desktop version how to] Eye color tutorial – Part 8 – Anime eye

Hello everyone and welcome back to CLGTart channel Today i will show you guys a new lovely anime eyes with a glossy look and look a little bit sparkle with Medibang Paint Pro Let’s started. First we will do the sketch. I’m drawing a circle and divide it into half I divide the top part into half again From that point, I will draw the curved line for upper eyelid. I will draw another curved line at the top and then connect them together. For the lower eyelid, I just draw a small horizontal line is enough. Now connect 2 curved lines you created for a thick anime upper eyelid Next, you will draw a little circle inside the eye for the pupil. I will create a sparkle and glossy anime eye, that’s why I will draw some curved lines around here to make a mark It will help me remember which place I should color later for this sparkle eye Draw the double eyelid and eyebrow to finish this sketch. I will lower the opacity of this sketch to continue my work. Let’s create a new layer for outline I’m using the watercolor brush to draw the outline this time It will give you the soft look enough, not blurry and not sharp as G-pen Incase the watercolor brush doesn’t look dark enough, you can go to the settings of that brush and increase the opacity to make it look darker. So carefully to draw everything and flip your canvas with arrow button to make it easier to draw When you finish your outline, create a new layer for skin color. Put it under outline layer, use select tool/bucket/brush tool to paint the skin. You can use darker color to paint shadow in that skin layer or do it in another layer is your choice. Continue to create a new layer (Layer 4) above the skin layer to paint the upper eyelid color (as you can see I use bucket tool to fill the black color) Create new layer to paint the base (white) color of the eye. Put this layer under the eyelid color layer and above the skin color layer Create new layer, put it right above the eye base (white) color you just created and tick the clipping This will be the eye shadow layer, I will choose a dark color to paint and it will just appear inside the white color thanks to clipping feature. This job will have a lot of layers! Keep calm and create layer. Because with separated layers, everything will work better and not messing together. As you can see on the screen, the eye shadow layer will be Layer 10 To draw the shadow, just pick whatever brush that sharp/hard enough for solid color. I prefer Watercolor brush if you want to know. Create another layer, it’s Layer 11 for paint iris color. I will use gradient tool to paint for transition color look. That’s why I have to pick both color boxes in the color wheel. Use Wand tool to select iris area. If lines are not connected, you can connect them with pen or select Pen tool as I did. When all lines connected, use Wand tool and hold Shift to add selection for the whole iris. And pick Gradient tool to paint the color you prepared before. If you want to change the color, fix it in the color wheel and draw gradient line again. Okay, now it’s look perfect for me now that’s what the color that i want. so now we continue to work in this layer 11 and then choose the protect alpha With that I can continue to paint in just the iris color area. I will use circle snap tool to create an oval with Watercolor brush. Pick dark color near the upper eyelid to paint color follow the snap tool With that, I just make the eye look deeper Now back with the circle snap tool. Let change the shape to oval. Put this in the middle to create the pupil. If the brush size is too big, decrease it a little bit so it will fit in the right size. Let’s decrease the snap tool size a bit to draw inside the pupil. I will use the dark color and paint 2/3 circle first Then i pick the lightest color for the bottom. Next I will turn the snap tool off. Use watercolor brush to paint light color inside half pupil Then I will use Watercolor (Wet) brush, pick color between dark and light color to blend inside the pupil until we got a good result. So now i’ll go back with the circle tool here and make it look more round I will use Pen (sharp) to draw the guide line first to draw lines make the iris looks more realistic Next I will use Perspective Snap tool to create the lines I need The Pen sharp will automatically create fade in/out and thin line. Now just follow the snap and draw as you like When you finish the lines, it will look like this. Create new layer and choose clipping to eye base (white) color again. Change blending mode of this layer to Add I will create the glossy look now. Use the Pen Select tool to draw the field I will color Next I will use gradient tool again and pick light blue color for this one. The second color you can choose white. Then drag it to the direction you want. With the select tool, the color you paint will just stay in the selection area Now the color maybe too shiny, that’s why I will lower the opacity of that layer to around 30% Use the Pen Select tool again for the shiny at the bottom Note: You should choose Pen brush first before using Pen Select tool to make sure the selection looks solid/thick/hard enough I will create a new layer, it’s layer 13 at the top because i will work on that later Change blending mode to Add, choose watercolor brush to draw the white dot/sparkle inside the iris Choose white color to increase the glowing You can add more dots to make it look more sparkle Now go back to the upper eyelid Create new layer, put it above Upper Eyelid layer then choose clipping Use watercolor brush to pain at the bottom of the eye to make it look deeper Next you will pick the lighter color and paint inside the upper eyelid Paint the whole top of the upper eyelid, that’s where the eye receive the light from the environment. It can also create the 3D feelings and look deeper. To make it more sparkle, I will choose the light color to paint half of the upper eyelid I will use the watercolor brush to paint the base. Then I use watercolor (Wet) brush to blend to make it look natural Final step. Create new layer, put it above the outline layer and choose clipping I will use this layer to change the outline color, with this the eye will look more natural and perfectly You should pick the right color/near/neighbour color to get rid the black color of the outline to make it look natural. Do the same for all the lines. To end this video, I will paint the eyebrow and color the same as I did with upper eyelid. Or you can use Gradien tool if you want. You need to change the outline too. This is all about this video tutoria.Thank you for watching goodbye see you next time
