I was born under a wand’rin star I was born under a wand’rin star Wheels are made for rollin Mules are made to pack I’ve never seen a sight that didn’t look better lookin back I was born under a wand’rin star Mud can make you prisoner and the plains can bake you dry Snow can burn your eyes but only people make you cry Home is made for comin from, for dreams of going too Which with any luck will never come true I was born under a wand’rin star I was born under a wand’rin star Do I know where Hell is ? Hell is in Hello Heaven is goodbye forever, it’s time for me to go I was born under a wand’rin star A wand’rin, wand’rin… star ( Mud can make you prisoner and the plains can bake you dry ) ( Snow can burn your eyes but only people make you cry ) Home is made for coming from, for dreams of going too ( Which with any luck will never come true ) ( I was born under a wand’rin star ) ( I was born under a wand’rin star ) When I get to heaven, tie me to a tree Or I’ll begin to roam and soon you know where I will be I was born under a wand’rin star A wand’rin, wand’rin… star…

Back in the days when music in movies used to be so good it even made it to radio…
My grandad loved this, I miss him every day xxx
great music
Beautiful love this a proper movie!
One of the few great songs from oaters
A great actor. Love this song. First heard it 50 years ago. Clint Eastwood singing???@!@
Intramontabile ed inimitabile!
The movie was filmed near Baker City Oregon. They tore it all down after filming, What shame it would have made a great tourist attraction because Baker city needs some reason to go there. Music was great in this movie with two non singers Lee and Clint..
He was a great actor…. At the time the studios owned the actors. They had to do movies they were told to do.
Wow can not believe how many other people are here listening to this 2019. This is my dad ✨✨
Cuando afirme que moriría soltero es que no pensaba vivir hasta que me casara… William. Shakes. Peare.

How many of us have tried to sing this song when suffering from a sore throat. Superb movie and soundtrack . . Hello from Scotland.
these voice is simply awesome
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant.
All stars are wandering. Stellar drift. The Earth is essentially a starship exploring space.
Didn't he sing that song on Water Hole Number Three ?
They will never make a movie like this one again! Move making at it's best…
One of my fav old movies. My oldest daughter has an old soul. She's the only one of the 3 that appreciates the classics. And will watch this and others with me.
Thank you for sharing this.
Very good song 👌
I have always loved these songs, but no longer ever sing these kind of songs anymore…….just lovely memories
Grand acteur
Some time, simple songs are the best,
Then it becomes a classical
Make you Wonder!!
Man with no name..
One of the few songs I remember from the movie. I loved the movie but it was the cast that kept me watching.

The best Western Musical,….EVER.
After his "Oscar"- he expressed himself; thanks! – so glad he did!
As far as I am concerned this is Lee Marvin and the The Spirit Of Modern Nomadism at their finest. Thank you for this poignant and meaningful work, MadFranko008. What a treasure it is.
What an iconic actor he was!! Paint your Wagon was and is the only musical ever worth watching!!
Gostei.
Muito bom.
Voz destacante.
We Were All Born Under Many Wandering Stars, Wandering Thru A Wandering Galaxy, Wandering Thru Infinite Space @ Approx 1.3 Million Miles Per Hour! 😳👽
Listening because my grandad used to sing this lost him early this year , good memories 😘
That's me didn't know I was being filmed
My parents named me after him.
GREAD !!!!!!!
Wonderful, truly great but could he sing to the trees?
Classic from the classic movie "Paint Your Wagon" and the California gold rush.
I wonder why everyone wore hats in those days.
I was born a Wandering Star💫
Love that movie & I adore Lee Marvin..🌟👍😍
Cat Ballou was a big favorite of mine..🤠👍 also.
This is a really good song. The best parts are when Lee Marvin isn't singing.
Does anyone know if the male backing singers for the song were the Ames Brothers?
Lee Marvin, increible
"Paint Your Wagon" is probably the most realistic movie portrayal of the Old West "Gold Rush Era" ever put on screen. "Wanderin' Star" hints at the sadness of a rootless life style. But, on the other hand, imagine being an original "49'er" following the first Gold Rush into California, and then restlessly pursuing all the other "Big Gold Strike" rumors across the Western Frontier into the territories of Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas, Arizona, etc, possibly bumping elbows at a bar in 1876 with Hickok in Deadwood , Dakota Territory, or Doc Holiday in 1880 in Tombstone, Arizona Territory. Definitely would not have been a boring life, provided you survived. Why has Hollywood focused so many movies on the "Cowboy Era, 1867-1890", when the "Gold Rush Era, 1848-1898, is so much more colorful, fascinating and violent? Hollywood is stuck in remake mode (True Grit) when there is an absolute wealth of movie making material to be "mined" about the Old West mining era.
I love it
Lee Marvin was awarded a Gold record for this song.
MARVIN
My theme song lately
alte menschen jawohl.
Is that a banjo that accompanies the chorus so well?
One of my all time favourite songs.
Desde niño, siempre me encantó esta canción, extraordinaria voz de Lee Marvin.
This sounds like something that singer Leonard Cohen would have done (he has a similar voice range).
Was treated to see the film when it came out, in London by my Dad, as part of his present to my Mum for her birthday, one of my best memories ever!
Was my very first movie as a young boy …. still luv this tune after all these years
As a matter of fact a ""wandering star"" is a Planet!
so pra nos com mais de 50
Viewed Paint Your Wagon last night. Lee Marvin must've shown Clint Eastwood how to act. Lee really chewed up the scenery. A work of art!
Fifty years ago I took my 4 young children to see this movie in Eugene, Oregon. Its a forever happy memory for us. We are ever ready to remember its story and sing its songs. loisleone
Me too…spent over 40 years at sea…
"Paint your wagon" a hit musical ?! It' s one of the biggest bombs ever…check the Medved Bros. ' "The Hollywood Hall Of Shame" (The most expensive movie flops in Hollywood history) book for details…..a fantastic song, though….
What an incredible movie that was–Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin singing! A movie with a strong woman married to two men was too early for America to abide, but what a tale! Still love it.
I love this song because I am a wandering star deep down
When recommendations actually pay off…
Crusty old non singing drunken gruff rough leatherassed Marine singing a beautiful song. Miss you you damned old bastard.
mam podobnego szwagra mariusza dobuszko podobny na maxa! do lee marwina
What a voice. This man can chew granite
Memories of the past belong to people who passed away and know how hard life was.
I LOVE LEE MARVIN SONG BRASIL S C
A música é bastante imponente
Un gran y lindo recuerdo de mi adolescencia
I was an extra in one movie in my life, and this was the one! Very interesting!
Ah, the wonderful days when actors weren't all pretty boys with gym-created chiseled abs and all named "Chris."
Grandissimo Imperatore del Nord
Weird movie which I saw when it came out. I expected Clint Eastwood to do his spaghetti western routine and was disappointed!
I was born in a piss pot and it's bloody well true
The term "planet" originally comes from the Greek word for "wanderer." Many ancient cultures observed these "moving stars," but it wasn't until the advent of the telescope in the 1600s that astronomers were able to look at them in more detail.
Greta the TunaFish even thought, she was born under a wanderin star, it was a moved trashcan …
I saw that in the theatre with my folks. Great movie.
true only people make u cry
For those that don't know leave Marvin was in United States Marine Corps
My Father would always sing this song, when or why he learned it, who will ever know? Thanks for this. Epic!
Linda demais essa música.
Far from perfect, this movie still holds a place in my heart. Great music and performances and great atmosphere. Probably the most "manly" musical ever! I was a senior in high school when I saw this on a double-bill with "The Molly Maguires", starring Richard Harris and Sean Connery. Both fine films, but one very, very long afternoon!
veri gut
wonderbar out of this world and many others.
Lee Marvin and Arthur Uther Pendragon…..Separated at birth Same face ………
It breaks my heart when I watch film of people from my lifetime who are no longer with us. So full of their life that no longer exists, I wonder if I shall meet any of them again, soon. But mostly i feel the life and Know its not there any more. Near brings me to tears, my memories fighting back the tears, almost anyone. As for this big man with a voice, remember this well.
I have this movie on DVD it's one of my all-time favorites
Best scene ever I give you the boy give me back the man LOL
