Learn Colors and Body Parts by Painting Dinosaur Puzzles — A NerdStuff Activity

I have these $2 dinosaur puzzles which
we’re going to paint and put together and along the way we’re going to learn
about mixing colors a little bit of anatomy and spatial reasoning.
Remy: Don’t knock mine over, Momma. Wes: whoopsie
Remy: Look, the water got blue. Mom: That’s right okay where do you want the red? Remy: Lookit Mom, I’m making it purple
Wes: I want to do it myself Mom: Oh I prefer not because it’ll…
Remy: It’s purple! Remy: I make the water purple!
Mom: Cool
Remy: It match to this! Mom: It does. [To Wes] I would prefer you not open them.
Remy: It’s the same one, Momma! Remy: I opened it
Mom: Oh great…
Remy: Yeah It’s becoming Tan!
Look Momma, it’s becoming beautiful.
Cranberry! Learning from other people’s mistakes.
Okay, I always have the kids paint with washable paint because I don’t want
to ruin their clothes… or my house. But, there’s a downside. If they spill water
on the washable paint the paint will run, even after it dries. Learned this the hard way. So now what I do is I use THIS! Acrylic spray, and I just spray whatever it is that they paint, and then the color doesn’t run and it saves my house. Alright we’re going to pop them out. Wes: When I press my hand over this, it puts a lot of pressure into it. Bam, I just popped this one out.
Remy: ……….Good Job Wesley
Wes: Thank you Her hands were very old, my hands are very new
Mom: Excuse me? Wes: Did you know that dinosaurs have hands? The back ones are the foots. They have two feet just like humans. Wes: Bam Bam Ba Bam Bam.
Mom: This side looks like a rib cage huh?
it probably goes around here. Mom: It looks like vertebrae
Wes: What are vertebrae?
Mom: Vertebrae are bones that go into your spine. See, if you feel your spine?
Actually Remy, turn around. Remy has bumps along the back. Those bumps are the vertebrae in your spine and you can kind of see them along here.
Wes: It’s part of the legs. Rawr, Rawr, Rawr. Wes: Where’s the instructions, Momma? Mom: I don’t think that was right.
Wes: He’s like Rawr, Rawr, Rawr. Here’s the final product after a couple of rounds of superglue after the
kids have gone to bed. It’s not the sturdiest, so if you’re looking for a higher quality product, I’m going to recommend going with a Melissa and Doug birdhouse instead. Thanks for watching and I have one question I’d like to leave you with, “How
do you like to celebrate after you’ve conquered an inanimate object?” Leave your answers in the comments below Don’t forget to subscribe
