How To Paint a Rainbow On Canvas

I’m Maddie, and I’m going to show
you how to create a rainbow painting. Rainbow paintings are really
on-trend at the moment, but they can go from upwards of $100. So I’m going to show you how to create one
to match the color scheme of your home for a fraction of the cost. ♪ [music] ♪ For this painting, you’ll need
a pre-stretched canvas. You can pick these up
from Bunnings, some old paint, some paintbrushes and an old rag. If you’re anything like me,
you’re going to have a bunch of old paint tins, sample pots lying
around from previous craft projects, or just projects around
the house in general. We are going to put these
old paints to good use and create a beautiful rainbow painting. The first thing you need to do is
work out the color order of your rainbow. There’s no hard and fast rules to art so
paint how you’d like and what feels right. Just get creative with it. Rinse your paintbrush out
in between colors, wipe it on a clean rag before you go. This is a great project
to get the kids involved with. Then they have something beautiful to hang
on their walls that they can be proud of. ♪ [music] ♪ Hey, presto! This will look great in the kids’ room. I’m really proud of this. This has made really good use of some old
paint that would otherwise go to waste, and now it’s going to match the rest
of the decor throughout the house as well. ♪ [music] ♪
