How to paint a colour chart with 6 colours – part 3


Make sure you have completed part 1 and
2 of how to paint the colour chart before painting the third part. Download
template, see the link in the description below. In the third part we will show you what happens when you mix the three cool
primary colours together. Start by filling in all the lemon yellow
boxes. Then do the same with the Alizarin Crimson, and the Cerulean Blue boxes. In
the first row you mix a little Alizarin Crimson into the lemon yellow to create
a light orange, by adding a little more Alizarin to your mixture you should have
two more deeper colours. In the second row you mix lemon yellow with a little
Cerulean Blue to create three greens. Lemon yellow is a weaker colour and
Cerulean Blue, is stronger so be careful of how much of the Cerulean Blue you use. Repeat the process for the last row with
Alizarin Crimson and Cerulean Blue. Here you get some wonderful darks. In part 4 of how to paint a colour chart we will be showing you how to use black and white.
