HOW TO DRAW CHERRIES and a BLACKBERRY – With Pen & Ink – Fountain Pen

Hello my friends and welcome to another
Tuesday of tutorial! I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we
will be drawing two cherries and a blackberry. We begin by making a circle,
not perfectly round, and then sketching the stem like so… then, another sort of
circle for the second cherry. And the stem which will join the other one. I’m drawing with a Falcon fountain pen. The list of materials is in the information
below the video. Now let’s do the shading with hatching and cross-hatching… trying to follow more or less the direction of the surface of the volume and we go over again the darkest areas, like so and let’s switch to different directions on
the lines. Very good! I’ll go darker a little bit more to try to give it more volume. All right! Now the other one. I love drawing with fountain pens! they just glide deliciously on the paper [laughter]. And let’s draw here the reflection of
the first cherry on this one, and then we darken with more hatching and cross-hatching. As you see I’m not doing it flat, all even at all, because I want some reflections to show, some dark reflections and some light reflections as well. And now let’s draw the cast shadows on the ground. Something like this… And we draw the stems with short lines. I think it is very important that
when you draw, you really enjoy the moment! it is calming, relaxing and it
just brings happiness I think. In the comments please let me know what do you think? what does drawing mean to you? And now let’s do the Blackberry. Of course, blackberries are pretty fun! a bit of a challenge, they are composed of many many rounded ehmm things [laughter], I don’t know how to call them, and they are dark purple almost black, but still we need to find the light and
shadow on them. I´ll be leaving some very tiny reflections and the rest and I´ll do it
pretty dark. This drawing is a little bit of a warm-up for ¨Inktober.¨ As many of you know, there is a challenge where for the whole month of October artists make at least a drawing every day using ink, such as with fountain pen or any other pen with ink, like markers or even with brushes. Are you ready for it? and of course I would love to know from you what would you like to see as a video
tutorial in October. We have 4 weeks, 4 tutorials. Please let me know in the
comments! Let’s intensify just a little bit more
the shading on these two cherries and on the cast shadow. And it’s ready! If you enjoyed it please give it a LIKE! subscribe to Fine Art-Tips and click on the little bell to get notifications of new videos if you haven’t done that
already. And I will see you on Tuesday πŸ˜‰ Subtitled by Grethel Trejo
