How Much SPACE can a CRAYOLA MARKER FILL UP?! // How much ink is in this marker?!

Yo, that’s how big this piece of paper is! HAA! It is – What is this? What is this? This is about two by two and a half feet. What are we doing guys? So I just looked on the back of the poster boards and they actually say the measurements of them, How stupid? They’re 22 by 28 inches. We… are gonna see! Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. It’s getting wild guys. I’ve got some Crayola markers! All right. What we are doing is we are going to see how much space a Crayola marker can fill. Last year around this time. There was this trend to see how many pages certain markers can fill. Copic markers, highlighters, sharpies, Ohuhu markers. It was a trend. Rae came up with it, and I followed suit and tried it too. It was really cool. It just kind of shows you what you get for your money. So, today we have this giant poster board and we’re gonna switch this up a little bit. I feel like this is a maraca. Just gonna put that down, ’cause… So I am switching it up a little bit and I’m gonna see how much space a Crayola marker can fill not a page… How much space. Can it fill a two by two and a half feet piece of paper? I don’t know, but we’re gonna find out. I have four of them just in case they’re super juicy. Gotta know, and if I run out then, uh. We’ll go back out to the store. I mean, hopefully I don’t run out ’cause, I don’t feel like going back out to Target. but I guess if I do run out that’s a really good problem, because that just means there’s a lot of ink in these markers. Alright, so comment of the day: We have four two by two and a half foot pieces of poster board. How many of these do you think we can fill? Or if you want to get all mathematical you can tell me the exact square footage you think this will fill. Whatever you want. Oh, I need to pick a color, guys! Ah, this is gonna be so exciting! I don’t know what I want to do. After I fill these, I think I am going to use the colored on poster boards for some sort of cool DIY or a giant zentangle? I think that would be so cool. It probably won’t be in this video because this will probably take a really long time. But yeah, anyway, let’s get started! [Soft music plays] All right, I have one page separated. My markers are right here. I still need to decide but we’re starting this, so, I guess I’m deciding right now. I think I’m gonna do purple, yay! This is a new marker, so we’re just gonna see how much space can you fill? Since I’m a lefty I’m gonna start way over here and I’m gonna work my way towards you guys! [Makes shooting sound.] Okay, let’s do this! This is gonna take a century Um… I Have done five lines across this and it is the most exhausting thing. I kid you not . This is legitimately a workout. [Laughs] this is… Literally what we’ve done so far. Let’s keep going! All right, literally this is showing no signs I’m running out. Is this the immortal marker? This is crazy. I’m almost done with the first entire poster board and it is not… running out. Also, I’m trying to lay my hand sideways and lightly glide the poster board. I’m doing that so I can expose the entire edge of the nib to the poster board. Honestly, I really want to know how much ink is in this. Ahhh, blub, blub, blub, ba! Okay, we are almost done with this poster board guys. This is crazy, BOOM! One poster board is finished. Look at this baby! Yeah Let’s stand up. Oh, yeah. Look at that! One entire poster board and it does not show any signs of being close to out of ink. You know, I’m honestly a little surprised that it’s not showing signs of being out of ink yet. I am letting the marker rest. I’m letting my hand rest and then we’re gonna go on to the next one. [Laughs] Aaaaahhh! My hand! We are on to the second one. Dude. I just want to rearrange my film setup and I kid you not my finger got stuck in my tripod. I took a really long break from doing this but we are on the second poster board. Now, my finger feels better. We’re good. Everybody’s good. [Funky Music] Oh, that was such a crooked line. Yeah, that was so dumb! Okay, let’s do this! You guys life is really hard to draw a straight line when you are drawing on this big of an object. I’m on a mission. I really want to know how much ink is in this. Guys, up close. I’m starting to notice the ink is running lower. I’m kind of excited because this is kind of painful. I thought about doing lines up to the middle and then continuing, but then we’d have extra overlap and there’s already some overlap with this, just ’cause it’s just what has to happen for this to work. I just want to omit as much overlap as possible. Then I keep doing lines like this. What is my life? I don’t know. Really gotta say, these guys do not let up on the pigment. This is impressive! Alright you can really start telling now that the ink is running low though. Ha ha ha! Look at this. It’s a very slight gradient not the most noticeable yet, but we’ll see. We shall see. Look how streaky this. [Laughs] Ha, this is great. We’re finishing this one up. And this [laughs] this is the second poster board. It’s kind of hard to see this, with the camera angle, but there ts complete coverage. It was kinda hard to see this from a distance. This is what it looks like up close. Okay, I think we’re gonna try to do a third poster board, see where this goes. Kind of running out though. I’m gonna let this sit for a little bit, to let the ink come to the nib. I have a feeling that we’re on the final, last like run leg. We’re on the last leg, that’s what you call it. We’re on that. Yeah. Okay guys, we’re on our third poster board. I let the marker sit for a long, long time. Here we go, oh! This marker is juicy again. Uh-oh. Are we gonna fill a whole third poster board? Let’s find out. If I use all four sheets of poster board. Don’t worry. I can just turn them over and use the other side. All right, I think I’m gonna stop right here. So… Look at this, I’m pretty much like not getting anything out of this marker anymore. This is the third poster board. I did go all the way to the edge, but there’s so much you just can’t see and I’m pressing super, super hard to get this. So it’s unrealistic at this point we can say we filled three poster boards. However, [Laughs] I will leave that up to you. It kind of stopped showing up halfway through the third poster board though. The other half is just me pressing insanely hard to get this to work. Honestly, the nib is really strong. I’m very impressed! [Laughs] This held up very nicely. it’s… shiny now, but it’s dry. It is dried out. I guess I could activate this with water to try to get more ink out of it, but I wanted to do this as a normal person would use it and I don’t think a normal Person would use this part. So I’m stopping here. We did three poster boards but only really got about two and a half and then this is just me being determined, ah! If you’re curious there is a huge weight difference between a full crayola marker and a marker that ran out of ink. I’ll show you. Okay. You see this scale. This is what a normal crayola marker weighs. 0.4 ounces. That is full of ink, not used This here is a dried-up crayola marker. 0.2 ounces, right there. Crazy. That’s how much ink came out of this, isn’t that so cool! All right for all the curious people out there. This is where we started. I lined everything up. It was full of ink there and then we go further, further, further. This is where the poster board ends and a new one starts. Look at that beautiful gradient. Heh, heh, heh! We keep going, we keep going, It burns out pretty quickly. Then I leave it sit for a really long time. It gets a burst of ink and Then burns out pretty quickly. So let’s look at the full gradient. Oooh, Hmm yeah! Look how pretty! That you guys, is how much space a crayola marker can fill! Ooh, do you guys want to play a game? Let’s walk down the aisle of purple. Follow the purple marker road, Y’all. Ready for this? You all ready? Right here. Ready? Woop! Woop! Yeah! Okay, let’s go on an adventure down the purple marker road in my pajamas. Ahhh! A crack. Here we go, okay the opposite way. We’re gonna see the gradient go darker. Weeee! This is so cool! Yay! All right, I’m sure I’m gonna get a lot of people hating on me for wasting a marker and some poster board but I do this just to see what we are buying Are we getting our money’s worth when we buy something? There’s a ton of ink in these markers. I’m so impressed by this. Anyway, my curiosity got the best of me. I hope you liked this video.
