GUNPLA CUSTOM – CUSTOM PAINT HG LEO

Hey guys! In this video I want to show you guys how I custom paint HG Leo So basically the custom build that I made to this kit is very simple and minimal I just did panel line scribing and custom paint So this is the base kit It’s very simple and not so detail My plan for this kit is to make it look like RG kit But not too detail So before I start scribing panel line I will sand the surface plastic So it’s easy to draw panel line with pencil So make the line drawing first and then scribing Put the plastic tape by following the drawing line to guide the chisel when scribing I prefer to use Madworks chisel because to me it’s one of the best chisel out there in the market It’s very sharp and last long For HG kit, I use 0.15mm chisel But for HG it’s best to use 0.125mm Because I don’t have it, so I just use 0.15mm It’s still ok with 0.15mm But to get the best result for HG, use 0.125mm or 0.1mm Besides 0.15mm I use 0.3mm too It’s better to have different sizes when scribing Variety your chisel sizes so that it looks better When you have a few sizes during scribing it will look more realistic Besides scribing panel lines, I use pla plates for detailing the kit This is one of the example I also put at the back of the torso I only add a small amount of pla plates For the first layer of primer I prime it by part, not yet disassembling the kit Because this is not the final prime yet This first layer of priming is just to check if there is any errors on the plastic For example the scribing line is not deep enough or an scribing lines that are not clean I will see the imperfection with the first layer of prime So after the first layer of prime I have a few imperfection of panel line, it’s not deep enough So i scribe it again to make it deeper You will see the error when you first time prime the kit I scribe the lines back and sand it After this, I will disassemble all the parts and prime it one by one Before that I decide to add more panel line on the leg because I only did on the upper part of the kit To make it balance where both upper and lower part have panel line So this is the final priming I disassemble all the parts and paint it one by one So that the primer covers all the part evenly So when airbrushing the colours, it will have even colour throughout the plastic For colours, I use 2 brands Which is Gaianotes and Mr Hobby So for detail painting I use enamel paint I paint it using brush because I’m lazy to do masking for now>.
