Let’s go to draw!
A cat A cat.
Let’s start to draw the kitty Yes!
Yes…This is my idea for the new ACEO Ana! What are you doing?
No, I don’t want to smile! Smile!
Where? Here. Smile!
hmm hmm Smile. This is a brand new ACEO art card oil painting
on board of a cat and a mouse. A meditating cat and a flaying fairy mouse.
Sounds funny. Doesn’t it?
It’s a funny cat struggling to stay calm and serene when a little flaying fairy mouse passed
by disturbing his intense meditation. I painted it on a little piece of masonite
board with oil colors. The painting medium I used for was the Flemish
siccative medium diluted with petroleum essence. I use petroleum essence instead of turpentine
essence because is almost odorless. After I made the drawing on the board, I fixed
down the drawing with a layer of very diluted Flemish medium. I used white & black, chromium deep yellow,
sap & venetian green, deep & light violet, Prussian and Ultramarine blue and Permanent
Madder deep. And this is the little story I wrote for this
funny picture: No! Your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you:
there’s a levitating cat: THE meditating vegan cat.
He’s (is a he) in the deepest meditation possible .
So deep that even a flying fairy mouse can’t disturb him.
He worked so much to get such a great serenity under the wise guidance of his master, The
Great Vegan Lion the small! So that an insignificant thing like a flying
fairy mouse wouldn’t be a problem for a former merciless mouse hunter.
With a little more effort to focus on his meditation, he’ll get , finally , the reward
of these efforts : a personal RAINBOW. At the end, achieving such a great level on
meditation, when he will proudly mark his territory, the gentle rays of light crossing
his spray of pheromones will give him the long awaited rainbow.
