Behind The Scenes – Epic Swearing Paintball Video –

Safeties off cameras ready yup call it 3, 2, 1, fire The first big-screen square was in 1939 Gone With the Wind and for a while the
average movie had only five or six swear words. then came the sexual revolution and
there’s been no looking back in 2013 Wolf of Wall Street broke every swearing record we wanted to visually
show the impact of 798 swear words. A family of four means we needed 798 paintballs per person we got fifty fully automatic
paintball guns each gun shoots 12 balls per second we
shot about 3,192 paintballs in 5.3 seconds crazy vidangel is streaming movies minus the
bosoms blood and bad words it essentially gives people a really
sophisticated remote to skip over or mute the content that
they don’t wanna see we’ve made vidangel filters free for your PC
or laptop just click here to get started that includes free filters for new releases and TV shows in hollywood they do a lot of cuts for different movies they
start out with the cut for the Theatre goes into wide distribution but then they’ll do director’s cut and that’s
for artists the extended cut for Peter Jackson airliner broadcast cut
for the FTC Middle Eastern cut for Islam unrated cuts
for the perverts there’s even fan cuts for YouTube
fan cuts for just sex scenes for Game of Thrones others are just violent deaths what we
really felt like was missing was a family cut and so that’s what vidangel caters to it gives the ability for people to pick
and choose in a thousand variations how they want
their family to be able to watch the movie we have all the hot new
releases Netflix doesn’t have it’s simple and seamless a couple clicks
and you’re ready to go when I first heard the idea that David
Ackerman had um he said let’s just take a guys shirt
off and shoot him with a paintball and then shoot him with 800 paintballs so we wanted approach is very
carefully and so I before we’re gonna put family four
through 798 paintball shots in four seconds I was gonna try to experiment with it myself so I put on a
seven millimeter neoprene scuba suit he walked like a robot
because the suit was so thick and he’s just like this is gonna be
no problem no problem whatsoever and Ben was joking with me that he was gonna aim at more sensitive areas of the body it took five shots hurt so bad immediately as soon as the
balls hit his chest he’s just like stop stop stop no no more we stuck a huge piece of styrofoam like a chest plate on me and it went right through the chest plate
hurt just as bad it was like it didn’t even exist and he started
screaming again and I had welts for two weeks on my chest I went back and told the team that I didn’t think the shoot was possible I thought we might kill somebody or send them to the hospital kinda started to call the shoot off until one of the guys brought up Fiber Fix Jeff call us up and said hey we need something that will withstand
the blow of 800 paintballs and we heard about your
project and we wanna try it out so um so this is Fiber Fix and it’s normally
used for things like pipe repair or break a shovel wrap it
up it’ll be strong ready to go in 10 minutes we made
some armor took a out back behind our warehouse tested
for the first time and we were pretty confident it was going to work and it worked you know far better than we even expected and although we we don’t officially endorse it for this
kind of use um it can be found at Amazon QVC or in any
Home Depot Lowes or other major hardware retail Alright hey how you guys doing Im Jacob Schwarz i’m the director of this commercial with today what we’re doing is we’re doing a lot of high frame rate shooting the paintballs
I think it’s gonna be really awesome we chose Jake Schwarz as a director
because he has an amazing eye for color and he understands YouTube he’s got his own channel it’s very successful we used four different high-speed cameras
running at four different frame rates we had a ninety six frames per second we have 1000 frames per second 3000
frames per second and even 9000 frames per second we took five and a half seconds worth of
real-time using high-speed cameras we slowed it down
to about a minute worth of footage to get this many
paintball guns we had to buy them it was literally a pallet load
this gun shoots up to 15 balls per second and is one of the 50 guns used in the paintball video shoot we are gonna give one of these bad boys away to one lucky winner to qualify for this you just have to like our Facebook
page and share the paintball video on Facebook
and you’re entered click the gun to enter the giveaway
it won’t shoot I promise to make sure the guns were functioning properly
and that everything was safe we partnered up with a local paintball company that I’ve been in this for about twenty years for a while personally I’ve never done something like this though my job is to make sure that all the
guns are working correctly close the 60 Tippmann A-5’s a few X7 Phenoms in the mix just
adjusting velocity to the lowest possible setting I’ve never seen someone be willing to sit there and take that many guns all at once so these are the Fiber Fix suits and this is the first one we ever made um its a little bit rougher each one of these takes
between three and six hours to make and between 30 and 50 rolls of Fiber Fix
and um we’ve come a long way this the last one
we made and as you see we got a lot better we use the black bags over their heads
to conceal the paintball masks that we put underneath before we shot them my name is Emily Anderson and I’m here to get shot by paintballs get shot with 800 paintballs I’m just an honest person trying to
make a buck I’m kinda nervous but I feel protected so we talked to one of the stunt people
after the shoot and he said his hands were burning for
days it felt like they were on fire all night long and that the swelling went down after couple days these guys have some
serious courage or they were nuts or both so on this project it was a lot of fun
because we started from scratch there was no audio that I recieved that was recorded on set so everything that you hear in this piece is either from sound effects libraries
recorded out in the field of us shooting guns or fully here in the office so we just let off about a thousand rounds of paintballs there’s a pretty prominent point in the video where someone gets shot in the hand like square in the palm
we weren’t gonna do that so we shot this guy do not attempt this
at home point the mic up a little bit so that it doesn’t get hit but captures everything so it was a blast made it up with about seventy tracks worth of audio which is just an insane amount for a
piece like this when you see the flowers getting shot through we
literally sat here in the office and recorded this in one minute to be watching top shows like Game of Thrones House of Cards Breaking Bad or movies like Lone Survivor 12 Years a Slave Gravity About Time or American Hustle just click
here to get started

    Except Netflix is free!

  • Draymond Green's Gigantic Horse Dong says:

Some movies would not have that realistic or moody feeling without swears or slangs. For example, The Shawshank Redemption. The emotion the prisoners and guards put into each of their words really do take in the audience.

  • Mubeenaa Rahman says:

This is awesome! Thank you for this.

  • Levi says:

The best line was "Extended cut for Peter Jackson"

  • nicks biggest fan says:

All those movies are rated r for a reason. A family with children shouldnt go see the wolf of wallstreet or 300, they should go watch whatever is appropriate for their age.

  • Mihai Smeu-Mare says:

If this video is about "children inocence" than this video is useless.. We don't have to hide our kids from the truth, we need to help them understand that there are bad words, good words and how to use them. We can not hide our kids from life.. Bad words are everywhere, and bad words were used long before the aparition of television.

If you want to protect your kids from violence, swearing, sex abuse, drugs or God knows what elese… Educate them, don't just cover up their eyes/ears/mouth…

  • KillerRC says:

If people don't want their family to listen to curse words, it's their choice. Don't get offended because they don't want to listen to all the curse words that you want to listen to. I want to keep my family as pure as possible.

  • Maria Daniela Barriga says:

    Dwight K. Schrute bobblehead at 6:20 ! awesome 😀

  • Mya Moni says:

For everyone who's not understanding VidAngel, first of all you choose what you want to filter and how much you want to filter.. so you can keep swear words and just block off nudity or vice versa or both…
When I'm watching a movie with my dad, or niece, or someone I respect, I dont like watching sex scenes/nudity….So in situations like that, VidAngel is actually very helpful.

  • Mike says:

I've been shot just about everywhere even my face without a mask on.. In my opinion having your chest or hand shot a few times is nothing compared to your spine…

  • Amanda Michelle Chapdelaine says:

This is an amazing blessing! We shouldn't be criticizing a website that allows families to watch movies without all the other negative bi-product that caters to those who enjoy hearing and being berated by socially abusive words and spiritually destructive scenes. This gives a chance for the family unit to thrive. This finally caters to those who would love to watch a movie but say, "If only it didn't have nudity, blasphemy, violence, etc." Thank you! From me and my future family!

  • leroy jenkins says:

You should've used more premium brittle paint which doesn't hurt at all

    Best Clip ever!

  • Mariana Rengifo says:

This was so well done, a fantastic visual metaphor. Also thank you for showing us the behind the scenes, too.

And yes, sometimes the strong language and visuals are used to convey an important message, but most of the time they are just gratuitous stuff that, in my opinion, is better left out and does more harm than good. And even though it would make the work look a bit awkward, I really appreciate the option to be able to remove it, for the young ones and even for myself. Thank you for giving us that option, VidAngel!

  • James Taves says:

I want to see how long Wolf of Wallstreet would be after you cut everything out. (prob15 min)
