Advanced Paintball Tactics : Advanced Paintball: Delta Force Rush

Hi! This is Robert Stewart with Hill 13.com.
The next thing we are going to show you on the board is an illustration of combined tactics
to overtake and bunker a very heavily fortified position. When you look at the board here,
again, this is simply a representation. The arrangement of the field you will be on could
be vastly different, but the concepts can be much the same. In this illustration, what
I have done here is shown three players inside a very heavily defended bunker. The red lines
illustrate the degree of angle that the shooters inside can have on their shooting lanes. Excuse
me. This player in the back is primarily focused on this doorway. That is his mistake. If he
were working effectively here, he would be crossing back and forth between these two
doorways, putting paint over here as well to try to keep the green team wondering as
exactly where the positions of the players inside the bunker are. But, because he is
not, this doorway is giving no fire to this side of the field. So, what would happen in
this case is that the green team would have one player attempting to engage these two
red players here by putting fire onto them and keeping them engaged. While this is occurring,
while they are delivering the covering fire to keep these two players distracted, these
two players will begin, and we referred to this before, over bounding. This player will
move up, while this player covers him. Then this player will move up and at that point,
it is time to spring the trap. From this position, firing high, meaning standing over his cover
and firing into the doorway, to allow the second player to run up and make the door.
Not necessarily enter the door, but be able to pour fire into the door. Because these
two guys here have cover, they may want to turn and fire. This player will definitely
turn and fire. At which point, as this man is running up, so is this green player. And
now, you have these three players inside a kill box. Once you have done that, all the
other players involved can rush either to these positions and fire into the holes, or,
one player can enter in and this is called the Delta Force rush. This green player will
probably be eliminated, but as he rushes in firing on one of the red players, that gives
the rest of them time to get to the door, find an angle of fire on others and neutralize
everybody inside. It can be messy, but it can also be quite effective.
