Today, I want to do something that requires some time… painting But before starting to really paint, we need to prepare the basis. I will try to recreate one of Noma’s paintings, that I love. If you don’t know her, and if you like beautiful things, please have a look at her youtube channel ! When I’m drawing, I like to listen to movies’ soundtracks, or any type of music really… And what about you? What type of music would you like to listen to ? Is the sound of the pencil against the paper enough for you? No maths. No numbers, no formulas, no theorems… Only me, my pencil and a picture I’d like to recreate. Little casual break with a hot tea. and strange tea. Now, let’s prepare the material… It’s been a while since I’ve created myself a sort of painting routine. I always use the same watercolor palette, imported from Japan. I often choose the same brushes. The same glass, the same towel so that I don’t stain my desk… I often reuse my stuffs. Even washi tape, that I use to make borders and to prevent my desk from getting wet. The singer I’m listening to for the first time today is really inspiring. She’s called Hong Haelim, and I really like her song “sunset song”. I wanted to tell this to you because… I think songs play an important role in our perception of the world. I’m so happy whenever I find little hacks by myself. To give the impression of a “weaving” I made circular strokes of various colours… Then, I make some finitions with acrylic painting, to give more contrast…. But the truth is, I never know what I’m doing. I only follow my instinct. There are still the eyes to finish… But I’ll just do them later. Today I should prepare something to eat for my little brother. It’s also the occasion to practice cooking. What do you think about pasta carbonara? I don’t really like meat. But my brother just can’t eat anything without it. Well, I’m not sure if we can really call this a carbonara sauce, in the end. But, anyway, that’s a doable meal for beginners like me. Ohhh…there might be too much pasta. Well, this was an attempt from me to make a decent italian meal for my brother. or maybe not italian, when we look at it… thank you for having watched until the end ! see you soon….
